Twins, Galehead, & Hale
It was my week off from the summit. I had 6 days to hike. Being my first summer living and working in the White Mountains it was convenient for me to hike as much as I wanted. The plan was to camp at Zealand Campground for the first 2 nights. We would hike the Twins and Galehead in one day. In hopes we were feeling up for it hike Mount Hale the next and then Mount Washington for my first ever summer hike to the top and for our organizations annual hike-a-thon, Seek the Peak. July 19th myself and my 2 co-workers awoke. It was a beautiful day. We packed our gear up and headed to drop off a car at one trail head and then began our day at another. We hit the trail and hiked North Twin Trail until we hit the summit of North and South Twin. The trail started off pretty gradual and ran along side the river for the most part.
